Key Takeaways

´

  • Ecoppia will be deploying its E4 robotic water free cleaning solution for 325 MW of solar PV capacity in Rewa Solar Park
  • It is being developed by Sprng Energy that won a 250 MW project through its subsidiary Solenergi
  • Sprng Energy is hoping to save over 1 billion litres of water and reduce its operating expenses with the help of Ecoppia

´Israel based solar PV panel cleaning technology provider Ecoppia has bagged an order to deploy its solutions for 325 MW PV capacity in Rewa Solar Park, located in India’s Madhya Pradesh.

The company will deploy its E4 robotic systems and is expecting the commercial operation date (COD) in the first quarter of 2019.

Project development for the 325 MW capacity is being carried out by Actis Capital backed Sprng Energy. Ecoppia says Sprng Energy won this project for a record low tariff of 2.97 INR ($0.043) per kWh through its 100% Mauritius based holding company, Solenergi (see Record Low Tariff Of 2.97 INR/kWh In India).

Using its waterless, cloud based robotic cleaning solutions, according to Ecoppia, will help Sprng Energy save over 1 billion litres of water and reduce operating expenses drastically.

Ecoppia now has over 1.5 GW capacity that’s either operational or in the process of deployment. Globally, it has secured a pipeline of 3 GW of projects.

In July 2018, the Israeli company announced securing an order to deploy 2,000 E4 solar panel cleaning robots for SB Energy’s 580 MW capacity in Bhadla Solar Park in Rajasthan (see Ecoppia Secures 580 MW Order For Bhadla Solar Park).
