Having introduced its Duomax V bifacial glass-glass and Tallmax V glass-backsheet solar modules in February 2020 with more than 500 W output, Trina Solar has now launched mass production of the two variants. Both module products have been built with cells of 210 mm side length.
Of these two, the Duomax V bifacial double-glass modules have been certified by TUV Rheinland. The Chinese company claims both these modules have a power conversion efficiency of 21% and can be seamlessly connected to existing mainstream photovoltaic system designs including tracking solutions.
“The successful pilot line for the mass production of the 500W+ V series modules has laid a solid foundation for the capacity expansion to 5.5 GW this year, leading the global photovoltaic industry into the solar 5.0 era and a win-win market for ultra-high power modules,” said Trina Solar’s Vice General Manager and Executive Vice President Yin Rongfang.
Recently, ISFH CalTec of Germany confirmed Trina Solar’s bifacial PERC solar cell to have 23.39% efficiency on standard manufacturing equipment (see Trina Solar Announces 23.39% PERC Solar Cell Efficiency).
