The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) of India has invited bids from interested EPC contractors for 600 MW grid connected solar power capacity. The bids will be submitted for an EPC package with land for development of this capacity. Projects can be set up anywhere in India on a turnkey basis.

A minimum of 50 MW capacity can be set up for an individual project and can go up in multiples of 10 MW. Maximum capacity of a single project can be 300 MW. A single bidder stands to win a total of 300 MW using solar cells and modules sourced from anywhere in the world.

Grid connected rooftop solar PV and floating solar power projects also qualify for this tender call.

Broad scope of work is defined as design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation and commissioning. Projects should be grid connected through interstate transmission system (ISTS) substation. Winners will be expected to offer operation and maintenance as well.

The pre-bid conference is scheduled for June 12, 2020 with last date of bid submission being June 22, 2020. Details can be viewed on NTPC tender website.
