SECI Seeks Bidders For 1.07 GW Grid Connected Solar PV Capacity To Be Set Up In Rajasthan; NTPC 1.2 GW PV Tender Oversubscribed By 500 MW

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has solicited bids for a 200 MW DC/100 MW AC solar power project to be accompanied by 50 MW/150 MWh battery energy storage capacity. The central solar power procurement agency plans to make payments for the contract under this tender from part of proceeds approved by the World Bank for the Project of Innovation in Solar Power and Hybrid Technologies.
The solar and storage project is planned to come up in Rajnandgaon district in the state of Chhattisgarh. Broad scope of work also comprises 10-year operation and maintenance of the project by the winner.
As per tender documents, the desired module technology preferred for the project is bifacial, monocrystalline and PERC with minimum cumulative inverter capacity of 175 MW. SECI pins approximate project cost at INR 9 billion ($122 million).
The proposed project falls under the villages of Rangakathera, Dundera, Dhaba, Kokha, Amlidih, Girgaon, Margaon, Ghugkhwa, Odarbandh and Tolagaon. While SECI will be the project owner, land will be owned by Chhattisgarh State Revenue Department.
Last date to submit bids is October 27, 2020, according to tender announcement by SECI on its website.
210 MW solar project tender in Gujarat
Recently, the Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) invited bids for a 210 MW grid connected solar power project to be located at Babarzar in Jamnagar district of Gujarat. Interested companies can respond to the call latest by October 10, 2020.
