The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has launched a bevy of solar PV tenders including for rooftop PV as well as floating solar. Of the 3, detailed tender documents will be available for download in late February 2019.
Earlier this month, the Indian Cabinet approved INR 85.8 billion ($1.2 billion) as viability gap funding (VGF) for 12 GW of solar power projects for government consumption as part of the Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSU) Scheme Phase II, using locally manufactured PV cells and modules (see India To Develop 12 GW Solar PV With Local Modules).
Now SECI has issued a notice inviting tender (NIT) for implementation of 1 GW grid connected PV power projects by government producers with VGF support for self-consumption or use by government or government entities under CPSU Scheme Phase II. Tender documents will be published on February 28, 2019.
Another NIT issued by SECI relates to the implementation of a 97.5 MW grid connected rooftop PV system scheme for government buildings in different states and union territories under CAPEX/RESCO model. The tender documents for this scheme will be available from February 21, 2019.
Following SECI’s announcement for setting up its own renewable energy projects with battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity for deployment in the union territory of Lakshadweep in January 2019, it has now issued NIT for the deployment of 20 MW (AC) floating solar PV power plant with 60 MWh BESS (see SECI To Set Up Own RE Projects).
Scope of work for interested bidders will be design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of the project along with plant operation and maintenance for 10 years. Bids may be submitted latest by April 1, 2019, the same day as the opening of techno-commercial bids is scheduled.
