China solar projects rise by 32.4% in first quarter: In an announcement, China General Nuclear Power (CGN) New Energy said that the company and its subsidiaries power generation on a consolidated basis amounted to 1,679.2 GWh for the month of March 2021, representing an increase of 17.2% compared with the corresponding period of 2020. The power generation of Public Republic of China (PRC) wind projects increased by 44.0%, while power generation of solar projects increased by 12.0%. For the three months ended 31 March 2021, the accumulated power generation of the Group amounted to 4,530.4 GWh, which is an increase of 32.5% compared with the corresponding period of 2020. In particular, power generation of PRC wind projects increased by 92.0% and power generation of solar projects increased by 32.4%.
Trina Solar and Sumida to develop overseas new energy projects: Trina Solar Investment PTE. LTD, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar, recently signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with SUMEC Complete Equipment & Engineering Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of SUMEC, a news report said. Both the companies will focus on the development and construction of new energy projects in the developing countries along the Belt and Road.
