Linyang Energy secures IFC Loan: Linyang Energy has secured a loan agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for $60 million for the development and construction of solar PV plants in China to generate affordable power. This loan for a duration of 3 years, it hopes, will enable it to meet its operational and development plans and further expand its financing channels. Loan guarantees have come from 18 of the company’s wholly-owned subsidiaries. Currently, Linyang Energy, which also produces n-type TOPCon solar modules, has a close to 1.5 GW solar PV project portfolio and has another 3 GW in the pipeline through its new energy business.

Jolywood bifacial n-type modules for German project:  A 4.2 MW solar PV project in Donaueschingen, Germany was grid connected by Next2Sun using Jolywood’s TOPCon n-type bifacial solar modules. The most important feature of this project, according to the 2 partners, is the vertical installation of the most advanced end type bifacial modules in the PV industry as it enables the plant to generate more clean power compared to traditional installation methods. The German company said it will cooperate with Jolywood to develop more PV projects.

Juren Photovoltaic to invest RMB 500 million for 20 GW: Juren Photovoltaic has signed an agreement with the Economic Development Zone of Si County in Suzhou City of China to establish a manufacturing facility where it would produce interconnecting ribbon for the PV industry with an annual production capacity of 20 GW. It will require an investment of RMB 500 million ($71.5 million), which is the same amount it hopes the facility to generate once it comes online. According to the company’s website, its current annual ribbon production capacity is 15,000 tons equal to around 17 GW.

Results of 360 MW PV inverter procurement exercise: China Guangdong Nuclear Power New Energy has announced the winners of its 360 MW PV inverter procurement round. Winning the contract to supply distributed inverters worth 60 MW for Hainan Prefecture was Shangneng Electric. Xianghe central inverters will be supplied by TBEA worth 100 MW, and China Digital (Huawei) will supply 200 MW of string inverters for Shannxi Yongshou, as per a news report on Baidu.
