Japan’s Sharp Corporation has expanded its solar module product portfolio with a new monocrystalline 445W solar PV module using M6 (166mm) wafer sized cells. This is in addition to the company’s September 2020 launch of its M6 sized 440W module—NU-JD440 (see Sharp Unveils 440W Half-Cell Solar Module). 
The new monocrystalline module with 445W nominal power output—NU-JD445—is also a half-cell panel and comes with a module efficiency of 20.1%, explains Sharp that adds it has a system voltage of up to 1,500 V while touting a low temperature coefficient of -0.347% per °C. Sharp has used 9 busbar technology with round wires to improve module reliability as a multi-busbar (MBB) increases performance gain of each individual cell. 
The 445 W product is targeted for ground mounted and commercial rooftop installations. The module has 2,108mm x 1,048mm dimensions and weighs 25 kg. For installation, Sharp says it uses 1,670 mm long cables for ‘problem-free cabling’ during installation of the modules that come with IEC61215 and IEC61730 certifications.
