JinkoSolar makes Malayasia factory completely renewable: Module supplier JinkoSolar announced that its Malaysia factory has become its first overseas RE100 factory. This means that the factory makes full-scale use of renewable energy. The company added that for the production and operation of its 7 GW solar cell and 7 GW modules projects, only green electricity is being used. In another development, earlier this year, Jinko Solar said that its Haining base has produced its first Tiger Neo’s N-type cell (see China PV News Snippets)

Trina Solar in BloombergNEF list of Tier 1 PV module makers: Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar has once again made it to the list of Tier 1 PV module makers in the Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) market outlook for the second quarter, the company said in an announcement. The PV ModuleTech Bankability report was published last week and Trina Solar has got an AAA rating, which is considered to be the highest category. Based on bankability and a set of strict criteria, BNEF has a tiering system for PV module products to create a transparent differentiation between the hundreds of manufacturers of solar modules on the market. In the TaiyangNews Intersolar Munich Review conducted last month, Trina Solar, presented the company’s ultra-high performance module series for all rooftops under the Vertex series which it displayed at Intersolar (see Adele Zhao, Trina Solar: The Ultra-High Performance Module Series for All Rooftops)

DAS Solar’s 10 GW module project to begin: Chinese solar PV module and cell supplier DAS Solar held the signing ceremony of its first 10 GW high-efficiency module manufacturing base project, local media reports stated. The project with a total investment of RMB 4.5 billion ($0.67 billion) is located in Beihai City and will be constructed in two phases. The first phase will be of 4 GW and about 6 photovoltaic module production lines will be built. The investment in this phase is about RMB 1.5 billion ($0.22 billion).

Weisheng Technology wins State Power Investment Group bid: As per local media reports, the results of the 21st batch of central bidding (for the second batch of photovoltaic support equipment) of the State Power Investment Group 2022 was announced. And scientific and technological innovation enterprise Weisheng Technology has successfully won the bid for the southern Ganzi state flat single-axis tracking PV demonstration project, with a total installed capacity of 400 MW. The project is located in Sichuan Province and is expected to be completed and put into operation by September 2022.
