TaiyangNews Reliable PV Module Design Conference on 14 Dec: TaiyangNews is excited to announce its Virtual Conference on Reliable PV Module Design. The TaiyangNews Top Module Efficiency Ranking released every month has shown lot of changes – higher efficient, more powerful and larger size panels, that are increasingly based on new cell technologies.  And as global demand for solar quickly grows, so does the number of module suppliers. But what about product reliability in this quickly changing solar world? This Conference will take a close look at the topic, bringing together stakeholders from different parts of the module manufacturing chain to discuss the latest findings on how to make high-quality solar panels that stand the test of time. Wetown Electric to raise RMB 1.002 billion: Power distribution and new energy company Wetown Electric announced that it plans to raise about RMB 1.002 billion ($0.14 billion) by issuing about 39 million shares. The raised funds will be used in multiple projects like the construction of 5 GWh energy storage systems; photovoltaic ribbons with an annual output of 25,000 tons; and to support the working capital.

LONGi and Wanhua Chemical join hands: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi said in a press release that it has got into a cooperation agreement with innovative chemical product supplier Wanhua Chemical. With this, both companies will jointly explore the clean energy application market and work together in multiple fields such as photovoltaics, hydrogen energy, BIPV and new materials. With this development, LONGi will increase its focus on creating BIPV products that match the life cycle of the roof, have high reliability and customer satisfaction. Last month, LONGi had invested in Tongwei Yongxiang Phase II 200,000 ton silicon facility (see China PV News Snippets). At our upcoming Virtual Conference on Reliable PV Module Design, LONGi will speak on how its lifecycle quality system is enabling greater reliability.
