4 days left for TaiyangNews Conference: Just four days remain for TaiyangNews Virtual Conference on Solar Cell Production Equipment & Processing Materials. The participating companies include DK Electronic Materials, GS Solar, H2GEMINI Technology Consulting GmbH, SCHMID Group, Shirdi Sai Electricals Ltd; WAVELABS Solar Metrology Systems GmbH, HANS PV and Leadmicro. As there is increasing interest in high-efficiency solar cell manufacturing at low cost around the world, the speakers will look into the latest developments in this segment of the solar value chain. The Conference will close with  panel discussion on Solutions for Setting Up Solar Cell Manufacturing Globally. Registrations to the Conference are free. To register now, please click here.

Aiko Solar joins hands with TÜV Rheinland: Chinese solar cell producer Aiko Solar announced that Germany based global chain of testing and certification firm, TÜV Rheinland, recently visited its Zhejiang base. The purpose of the visit was to discuss cooperation in the field of its ABC high-capacitance module standard formulation in the future. In this capacity, both companies will conduct a comprehensive performance analysis of the ABC module in terms of capacitance characteristics, calculation of spectral mismatch factors, measurement curve correction factors, and evaluation of the light source level of the simulator. They also enhanced the calibration process of the simulator and the testing process of modules.

JinkoSolar develops n-type Tiger Neo modules for marine applications: Module supplier JinkoSolar over WeChat said that it has developed a new n-type high-efficiency module that is suitable for marine environment. The high-efficiency module belong to the Tiger Neo series of the 182 n-type TOPCon technology, and has successfully cleared the ASTM E1597-10 Saltwater Pressure Immersion and Temperature Test of Photovoltaic Modules in Marine Environment, conducted by UL Solutions. The test included subjecting the modules to special environmental conditions, like seawater at special temperature and atmospheric pressure, and evaluating the practical application of the modules from different angles.

Huaihe Energy’s 200 MW floating solar project in coal area begins construction: Thermal power generation company Huaihe Energy Group’s 200 MW floating solar photovoltaic project has begun construction in Dingji, local media reported. The project uses Sungrow Floating PV’s solutions, and the idle water surface in the coal mining subsidence area of the region to install photovoltaic modules. The total installed capacity is expected to be about 200 MW, and will be able to save about 1.69 million tons of standard coal and reduce about 4.4 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions during the operation period.
