Solar PV installations in Germany picked up pace during the month of October 2019 with new capacity additions of 377.6 MW, growing from 286.6 MW reported in the previous month, according to Bundesnetzagentur (Federal Network Agency). Before adjustments, the September 2019 PV additions were reported to be 286.9 MW (see Germany Installed 286.9 MW Solar In Sept 2019).

In the previous year, October PV installations added up to 182 MW (see Germany Added 182 MW PV In Oct 2018). Before that in 2017, October PV capacity was 149 MW.

Newly added numbers comprise 264.9 MW of PV installed outside of the tenders, while ground mounted solar farms outside the tenders was 26.3 MW.

Between January 2019 and October 2019, Germany installed 3.34 GW of new solar PV capacity, much above the amount it installed during first 10 months of 2018.

With the October 2019 installation figures in, Germany has crossed 3 GW of new PV capacity in 2019, having installed over 3.34 GW, and there are two more months to go before the year ends. During the first 10 months of 2018, PV installations added up to 2.36 GW.

The cumulative deployed solar PV capacity of Germany till the end of October 2019 crossed 49.27 GW.
