Located in Rio Grande do Norte state, the facility is expected to start commercial operations in 2024. The company did not specify the offtaker. “With this new PPA, EDPR continues to increase its technological diversification with 2.7 GW of secured capacity in solar and an overall secured capacity of 7.4 GW for 2021- 25,” said EDPR.

61 MW solar plant online in Colombia: US based AES Corporation subsidiary AES Andes has commissioned the 61 MW San Fernando Solar Park in Colombia, calling it the country’s largest PV facility. Located in Castilla La Nueva in Meta, the project is equipped with 114,000 bifacial monocrystalline silicon solar PV panels with 530 W output each.
