Dear TaiyangNews Readers,
As another challenging year 2021 draws to a close for solar – impacted again by Covid-19 and severe supply shortages resulting in price hikes along the value chain, we at TaiyangNews are looking forward to a much more pleasant 2022. We are hopeful to see many more positive surprises in the solar sector next year, which, unlike many other industries, has continuously proved to be strongly resilient due to its versatility and its cost competitiveness in many markets around the world – and demonstrated growth compared to the year before despite all these obstacles.
We take this opportunity to thank you for being our companions on this journey of solar PV technology making a positive difference to the world we live in.
We wish you health, peace, a joyful time with family and friends, and a well-deserved pause to recharge during the year-end holidays season.
If you haven’t had enough from solar over the course of the year – and want to get more insights on the latest technology updates, we recommend taking a look at some of our highlights published in 2021:
- Our first TOPCon Solar Technology Report 2021, published in December, which provides all you need to know to understand the ‘natural successor’ of today’s incumbent PERC technology;
- the recordings of our recent High Efficient Solar Technologies Conference 2021, where leaders from research, production equipment and materials supply as well as wafer/cell/module manufacturing presented and discussed the major commercial high-efficient cell/module technologies – from incumbent PERC (with focus on the M10/182mm variety), Passivated Contacts (TOPCon) to Heterojunction (HJT).
- our first Solar Trackers Market Survey 2021, which provides a comprehensive technology overview including product specs for a key component with increasing share in utility-scale solar power plants.
Our next TaiyangNewsLetter will be back in your inbox on Jan. 4, 2022.
Till then, happy holidays!
Yours TaiyangNews Team
