US headquartered power infrastructure and EPC company Black & Veatch has announced the appointment of Paul Skurdahl as the company’s senior vice president and director of its solar energy division, which is part of the power business. Skurdahl will provide leadership and project insights while further positioning company’s solar business for growth, it stated.

A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Oregon State University, Skurdahl joins Black & Veatch from Avangrid Renewables where he spent 15 years in various leadership roles and most recently as interim vice president of projects. In this capacity, Skurdahl was responsible for the design and construction of US wind, solar and storage projects for the company.

Skurdahl brings ‘deep’ expertise of renewables space, power purchase agreements (PPA), interconnect and partner agreements and energy trading to the solar and floating solar PV project development specialist Black & Veatch, the company added.
