Just days after announcing a 9 MW alpine solar plant in the Municipality of Oberiberg, Swiss utility Axpo has announced yet another alpine project with close to 15 MW installed capacity in the Canton of Graubünden as part of the company’s ‘solar.

Swiss utility Axpo has announced plans to build a 10 MW alpine solar power plant at an altitude of 2,100 meters near the La Muotta peak in Switzerland that will power the mountain railway that takes visitors to Disentis ski area in the Canton of Grisons.

Switzerland’s Axpo has energized 2.2 MW AlpinSolar Project as the country’s ‘largest’ alpine solar power plant that’s contracted to supply clean energy to local supermarket chain Denner under a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) for use in its stores.
