Copel Mercado Livre Contracts 411 MW Solar & 184 MW Wind Power In Public Auction To Procure Incentivized Renewable Energy

After registering 1.97 GW of solar and wind energy for the August 14, 2020 auction, Copel Mercado Livre has announced contracting 595 MW in all. Final contracts will be signed with the winners by the end of 2020.

Copel Mercado Livre is expecting the August 14, 2020 auction in Brazil to be a very competitive one for solar and wind especially since the Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy has not held any regulated auction since the beginning of this year.
