The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) is soliciting bids from interested developers to set up 865 MW AC solar PV ground mounted power plants in the state of Maharashtra, power from which will be procured by it for not more than INR 3.10 ($0.041) per kWh.

The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) has approved the tariff of INR 3.14 per kWh as offered by sole bidder Kiran Renewables for the MSEDCL auction to be set up in Baramati.
