3 MW Solar Power Project Tender Launched In Kosovo

For a 3 MW grid connected solar power plant to be constructed in Kosovo, the ProCredit Bank has launched an EPC tender. It is seeking bidders on behalf of special purpose vehicle (SPV) Pro Energy LLC based out of Pristina in Kosovo, and is jointly owned by ProCredit Holding of Germany and ProCredit Bank of Kosovo.

Pro Energy has been incorporated to develop, finance, own and operate solar energy projects, according to the bank.

The tender relates to the supply, procurement, construction, commissioning of the 3 MW solar power plant in Gracke e Vjeter municipality of Lipjan in Kosovo. On completion, it would also need to be provided comprehensive operation and maintenance for 2 years.

The job description also requires the winning bidder to design, supply, procure, construct and commission a 20 kV UG cable line for grid connection of the project.

Last date to submit bids is August 31, 2021, according to the tender notice.

Kosovo is taking baby steps to realizing its solar power potential. In March 2021, the country’s national transmission system operator KOSTT signed transmission system agreements for 150 MW and 192 MW capacity with commissioning planned for 2022 and 2023, respectively (see 192 MW Solar Park Planned To Come Up In Kosovo).
