The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has launched a solar tender for 100 MW AC project capacity to be set up in Chhattisgarh. Eligible EPC service providers are required to also transfer ownership of emcumbrance-free land in favor of SECI where the project will be located.
Along with commissioning, winners will also be needed to provide interconnected transmission lines, and offer comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) for 15 years.
According to the tender, solar modules and solar inverters need to be sourced from class I local suppliers wherein the goods need to have at least or more than 50% local content, as per a Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) order dated September 23, 2020 for public procurement purchase preference, linked with local content.
As per the Approved List of Modules and Manufacturers (ALMM) of the MNRE, cells and modules to be deployed for this project need to be procured from the approved list I. SECI also wants bidders to take note of the impending Basic Customs Duty (BCD ) to be imposed by the Government of India on imported solar PV cells and modules from April 1, 2022, before bidding for the project ( see India Imposes Basic Customs Duty On Cells & Modules ).
Last date for offline and online bid submission is September 9, 2021, as per the tender launched by SECI.
