Huitian New Material registers net profit of RMB 220 mn: In its 2020 annual performance report, solar backsheet material maker Huitian New Material disclosed that it has achieved an operating income of RMB 2.164 billion ($0.33 billion) in 2020, a year-on-year increase of 15.09%. The net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was RMB 220 million ($34.01 million), a year-on-year increase of 39.04%.

Beijing Energy buys 6 PV power stations in Mongolia for RMB 300 mn: Ecological development solutions supplier Beijing Energy International has acquired 6 photovoltaic power stations in Inner Mongolia for RMB 300.5 million ($46.45 million), the company said in an announcement. The total installed capacity of the power stations is 115 MW.

China Datang to develop 1 GW power generation projects in Yunnan: An agreement has been signed between New Energy Branch of Datang Yunnan Power Generation Co., Ltd. and the Funing County People's Government of Yunnan Province to develop wind and solar power generation projects. The total installed capacity of the projects is expected to be 1 GW. Datang New Energy's role will be to make full use of Funing County's wind and solar resources, plan energy infrastructure, and develop wind and solar power generation projects within the agreed period.

Kibing Group signs contract with local government to set up solar glass factory: At a recently held signing ceremony, solar glass manufacturer Kibing Group singed a contract with the local authorities to set up a solar glass production in Binhai Economic Development Zone in the south of Ningbo. It plans to produce 4×1,200 tons/day of high-transparent glass for solar modules. Once the project reaches planned production capacity, the annual operating income is anticipated to exceed RMB 4.5 billion ($0.70 billion). Last year, the company had announced its plans to construct a PV module high transparent substrate material production line in the Economic Development Zone of Zixing city of Hunan province with an annual production capacity of 1,200 tons per day (see China PV News Snippets: Canadian, JA, Risen, Kibing).
