JinkoSolar forays into residential energy storage in Thailand: With the signing of the first batch of residential energy storage orders with local customers in Thailand, module supplier JinkoSolar Holdings marks its entry into the residential segment, the company said in an announcement. The residential energy storage systems are designed to meet customers’ needs for off-grid, on/off-grid switching, and access adapted with generators. JinkoSolar has been active in Thailand for some time and has provided over 192 MW of solar panels. It said its market share is  38.4% in that segment.

Xiangtan signs PV power generation projects with Shuifa Singyes: BIPV system developer and EPC, Shuifa Singyes Energy (formerly China Singyes Solar Technologies Holdings) has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Xiangtan City, Hunan Province for rural photovoltaic power generation project, it said. Both entities will carry out the construction of photovoltaic projects in Xiangtan City.

Baofeng Modern cast-mono silicon wafers enter production: Mono wafers producer Baofeng Modern announced that its first production facility of cast monocrystalline silicon wafers has successfully entered the commercial production stage. The company will deliver cast-mono wafers in bulk this August to existing clients who have already signed purchase agreements. In another development, Baofeng’s indirect wholly-owned subsidiary – Golden Solar Silicon Science & Technology (Xu Zhou) – has entered into silicon wafer sales agreements with Taoistic Solar Technology (Changzhou) and Panda PV Tech. I will supply them with not less than 100 million single-cast silicon wafers. Taiyi Photovoltaic is a technology company engaged in R&D, production and sales of solar photovoltaic modules, while Panda Photovoltaic was established in 2015 and produces solar modules in its factories in Wuxi and Nantong, China.

Beyondsun’s DuDrive Max series obtains VDE & CGC certification:  PV module manufacturer Zhejiang Beyondsun Green Energy Technology said that its DuDrive Max high-efficiency module series have completed reliability tests conducted by third party testing and certification organizations – VDE Germany and CGC (China General Certification Center) – and have successfully obtained both IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 certifications. This marks a breakthrough for Beyondsun in the field of 182 ultra-high power module reliability, it said. The DuDrive Max series is a new generation of  PV modules designed for distributed projects and large-scale ground-mounted projects.
