Shanghai HIUV to expand PV film production capacity: Solar module encapsulation supplier Shanghai HIUV New Materials said that it has signed a series of project agreements to expand its PV film production capacity. This includes two photovoltaic film projects with Shangrao Economic and Technological Development Zone and Yancheng HIUV, amounting to an investment of RMB 2 billion ($0.31 billion). The company has also partnered for a photovoltaic film multiplication project worth RMB 1 billion ($0.16 billion) with Shangrao Economic Zone, and a RMB 1 billion ($0.16 billion) 20 GW photovoltaic packaging film project with Photoelectric Industrial Park of Yancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone.

Southeast Space signs up for 500 MW BIPV project: Diversified high-tech enterprise group Zhejiang Southeast Space Frame, in an announcement, said that the company and Huazhao Holdings Group Co intend to establish a new joint venture company in Yuncheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, with a proposed registered capital of RMB 100 million ($15.54 million). The new company will focus on new energy enterprise integrating investment, R&D, and operation and maintenance of photovoltaic power generation and will build a BIPV project with an installed capacity of about 500 MW.

CHN Energy & HDsolar partner for 7 distributed PV projects: Supplier of PV mounting and tracking system HDsolar said that it will be providing solar roof system solutions to 7 distributed PV projects of CHN Energy totalling to 103 MWp. The projects are:

• 10 MW distributed photovoltaic power generation project in Wuzhongqi Thermal Power Plant and Mengyuan Water
• Guoshen Huangyuchuan Coal Mine 5 MWp distributed photovoltaic power generation project
• Shenhua Shendong Electric Power Dianta Power Plant 12 MW distributed photovoltaic power generation project
• Guo 6 MW distributed photovoltaic project in Jiawan Power Plant site
• Distributed 30 MW photovoltaic project in Fugu Power Plant site
• 20 MW photovoltaic project at Shanxi Luneng Hequ Power Generation Co., Ltd. Nigou Ash Yard Comprehensive Treatment
• Guoshen Company Yili Power Plant 20 MW (4*5 MW) photovoltaic Power generation projects

LONGi silicon wafer prices increase: Announcing its latest wafer prices on its website, Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi said that:

• P-type monocrystalline silicon wafer M10 170μm thickness (182/247mm) is priced at RMB 6.41/piece ($1), an increase of RMB 0.3/piece ($0.047) from last month
• Monocrystalline silicon wafer P-type M6 170μm thickness (166/223mm) is priced at RMB 5.34/piece ($0.83/piece), an increase of RMB 0.25/piece ($0.039/piece) compared to last month
• Monocrystalline silicon wafer P type 158.75/223mm 170μm thickness wafer latest is at RMB 5.24/piece ($0.81/piece), an increase of RMB 0.25/piece ($0.039/piece) compared to last month

Jolywood to invest RMB 200 mn in 2 GW N-type project 1^st phase: Bifacial solar cell and module manufacturer Jolywood announced that its holding subsidiary, Erdos Jolywood, intends to invest in the construction of an annual production capacity of 2 GW of high-efficiency N-type photovoltaic modules in Dongsheng District. The proposed capacity in the first phase of the construction project will be 1 GW with a total investment RMB 200 million ($31.07 million).
