• Lior Handelsman will be moving out of his current role at SolarEdge Technologies
  • He is leaving to explore a career in venture capital, the management stated
  • Handelsman will continue to advise SolarEdge CEO for strategic initiatives and projects

Israeli solar PV inverter supplier SolarEdge Technologies VP of Marketing and Product Strategy, Lior Handelsman is leaving the company for good. Handelsman is also a co-founder of SolarEdge.

The management explained Handelsman is exiting the company to start a career in venture capital. He will however continue to serve the company as an advisor to the CEO Zvi Lando for strategic initiatives and projects.

“Lior’s creativity, vision and drive for innovation are deeply ingrained in every SolarEdge product developed since its inception and his contribution has positively influenced the company well beyond his current and past areas of responsibility,” stated Zvi Lando, adding, “I know I speak on behalf of everyone at SolarEdge in thanking Lior for his extraordinary contributions over many years and I am delighted he will remain a part of our team.”

SolarEdge has started looking for a Chief Marketing Officer, the management confirmed.

Recently, global investment firm BlackRock increased its stake in SolarEdge to 10.3% at the end of June 2020, raising it from 7.3% at the end of March 2020.
