Key Takeaways

Quzhou, Oct. 29, 2024 - PV modules face various challenges from complex climate conditions during long-term outdoor operation. Variations in parameters like voltage, current, and temperature can impact module power generation and performance. Over a 30-year lifespan, DAS Solar's high-efficiency N-type modules ensure consistent, safe, and reliable power output, meeting strict quality standards and delivering outstanding performance.

Recently, ten German EPC companies affiliated with the VDE Association jointly released the SMQS 90038-1 PV module quality standard, setting new quality requirements for nameplate parameters, module certification, reliability, cells, key encapsulation material performance parameters, shipment inspection, and ESG sustainability. DAS Solar’s N-type modules, with their high reliability, safety, and durability, meet the rigorous requirements of this standard.

First of all, DAS Solar's N-type modules are equipped with outstanding PID resistance in high-temperature and high-humidity environments. In plant operations, high voltage, high temperature, and high humidity can lead to PID in modules. To ensure the reliability and stability in these conditions and prevent significant power loss due to PID over long-term operation, DAS Solar's modules underwent TÜV SÜD's triple IEC-standard PID testings. The modules were tested for 288 hours at 85% humidity, 85℃, and 1500V, showing no significant impact on performance, demonstrating stable power output in extreme heat and high-resistance materials, structures, and craftsmanship.

While high temperatures can challenge outdoor module performance, extreme cold and snowfall also have side effects. DAS Solar's N-type modules use advanced encapsulation technology, offering excellent reliability in low-temperature environments by reducing thermal stress impacts on cells and electrical connection points, enhancing low-temperature durability. In 2023, DAS Solar's modules were tested in the extreme cold conditions of Mohe, China. Despite continuous snowfalls and harsh winter weather, the modules operated reliably, showcasing excellent durability and power generation performance. Field data showed that under temperatures as low as -43.98℃ and snow accumulation exceeding 8 cm, the modules effectively withstood uneven snow loads, extreme cold, and blizzard conditions due to their high-durability design, reliable materials, and advanced production processes.

As a promoter of renewable energy, DAS Solar is dedicated to sustainable development, incorporating green objectives into every aspect of its business strategy. From product design, raw material sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, packaging, to recycling, DAS Solar actively pursues its dual-carbon goals across the entire product life-cycle. The Quzhou, Taizhou, Zhangzhou, and Bengbu manufacturing bases have successfully passed TÜV SÜD's carbon audits and received the ISO 14064 greenhouse gas verification statement, while the Zhangzhou base has been certified as a zero-carbon factory.

As a leader in N-type PV technology, DAS Solar's TOPCon 4.0 Plus cell technology incorporates an enhanced passivation structure, significantly improving UVID and PID performance. With advanced product design and high-quality materials, DAS Solar's N-type modules have proven their power generation, mechanical, and material performance, demonstrating outstanding durability and stability in extreme cold and humid conditions. Going forward, DAS Solar will continue to invest in R&D and uphold rigorous quality standards, continuously enhancing product innovation, reliability, and stability as it steadily progresses in global markets.
