10 Companies Shortlisted For Armenia Tender

Six Consortiums & Four Companies Competing To Win 55 MW Solar Power Project In Armenia
  • Armenia has selected 10 companies and consortiums for its 55 MW solar power project tender
  • Four individual companies interested in the project are from China, France and Germany
  • Consortiums bring together companies from Spain, Italy, UAE, India, Korea, South Africa, Netherlands, among others
  • These companies now have to offer competitive tariffs to win the project; it will be awarded to the lowest offer

Armenia has shortlisted 10 companies and consortiums out of the 21 bids received for its 55 MW solar power project tender (see 21 Bids Received For Armenia PV Tender). A number of national and international names have shown their interest in this project.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy Infrastructure has shared a list of these interested parties. The 4 individual companies that have been shortlisted are:

  • TBEA Xinjiang Sunoasis Co of China
  • Risen Energy Co. Limited of China
  • Eren Renewable Energy S.A. of France
  • Enerpac Projects GmbH of Germany

The 6 shortlisted consortiums are:

  • Subsolar Energy Holding LLC of Netherlands and South Africa's Phelan Energy Group
  • Korea Electric Power Corporation from Korea and Shpoorji Pallonji Infrastructure Capital Company Private Limited from India
  • UAE Access Infra Central Asia Limited led consortium
  • TSK Electronica and Fotowatio Renewable Ventures, both from Spain, led consortium 
  • Acciona and Spain's Building Energy
  • Sky Power Global led international consortium

In the next round, all 10 competitors will have to offer quotations to win the Masrik-1 project, which is the country's first commercial scale solar power plant. The one offering the lowest and most competitive price will be win the project. A special purpose company will have to be incorporated in Armenia by the successful bidder to carry out the project (see 55 MW PV Tender In Armenia).

The project is part of the 110 MW solar power capacity that the country has planned.
