NVVN Wants Contractors To Set Up Solar Projects For Agricultural Consumers

  • NVVN has launched a tender to seek EPC contractors for 100 MW AC solar capacity
  • It needs to be set up in different districts of Maharashtra to provide daytime power to agricultural consumers
  • Projects need to be set up with individual capacities ranging between 2 MW and 10 MW

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN) is soliciting bids from interested solar EPC contractors for a cumulative 100 MW AC capacity to be established in different districts of Maharashtra under Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojna (MSKVY) for agricultural purposes.

The MSKVY scheme is being implemented by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. (MSEDCL) to provide daytime power to state’s agricultural consumers. It launched request for selection (RFS) tender to implement grid connected solar projects with 2 MW to 10 MW capacity.

Intending to participate in the tender, NVVN is looking for EPC companies to set up 100 MW AC capacity cumulatively in the form of individual projects ranging between 2 MW to 10 MW capacity. The 10 MW capacity needs to be set up as 2×5 MW. Winning bidders will have to arrange land to be leased or bought for the purpose.

Last date to submit bids is December 20, 2021. Tender details can be viewed on NTPC’s tender website with Tender ID: 2021_NVVN_57187_1.

This tender follows NVVN’s June 2021 tender for a minimum of 9 acres and maximum of 45 acres land at a single location in Maharashtra to be used for solar projects under MSKVY scheme (see India PV News Snippets: NVVN, Tata Power, MANIREDA).
