  • Ampliform will procure trackers for its US solar projects from all-terrain tracker supplier Nevados Engineering
  • The deal includes supply of 700 MW capacity between 2023 and 2025 in the near-term
  • Nevados is also on board for Ampliform's long-term pipeline of 2 GW projects under development

US based all-terrain solar tracker manufacturer Nevados Engineering has bagged a plum contract of over 2 GW to supply its integrated technology platform to solar projects developer and asset owner Ampliform, with a near term supply of 700 MW between 2023 to 2025.

Ampliform says it has standardized on the Nevados platform for all its tracker needs across all locations for the 700 MW pipeline and the long-term pipeline of 2 GW projects under development.

Ampliform was launched in September 2022 with more than 3 GW utility scale solar and storage capacity under development, but with a vision of over 10 GW development pipeline by 2025 (see Ampliform Formed With Over 3 GW Solar & Storage Pipeline).

Nevados will start with 48 MW tracker capacity for 2 initial projects under construction in Pennsylvania, and also provide its energy optimization software to the Ampliform projects.

Designed to avoid mass grading of solar sites with its all-terrain trackers, Nevados claims its products can be used for PV plants built on sloped and rolling terrain. It ensures faster construction time, ease of installation and thus reduces costs of project construction, the company claims.

"Partnering with Nevados will make our solar investments more profitable while preserving the natural vegetation and topography of the land. It's a win for our company and for the planet," said Senior Vice President, EPC of Ampliform, Robert Stoever.

Recently, PV Evolution Labs' ex-CEO Jenya Meydbray announced switching over to Nevados as its CCO (see Jenya Meydbray Joins US Solar Tracker Supplier).
