The ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in Turkey has adjudged 3 companies as the winners of 300 MW solar capacity. Each company wins 100 MW under lot 1 of the Yenilenebilir Enerji Kaynak Alanları (YEKA) tender round 4, dubbed YEKA SPP-4 or YEKA GES-4, with a lowest winning bid (L1) of TRY 0.375 per kWh.

Smart GES Enerji has won 100 MW for the lowest L1 bid, followed by Ecogreen Elektrik's TRY 0.39 per kWh bid and Kalyon Enerji's TRY 0.427 per kWh winning them 100 MW each as well, according to the local media. For this round, there were a total of 49 contenders out of which the trio emerged as winners.

All these projects will be located in Bor region of Turkey. With lot 1 awarded, the remaining capacity will be awarded as 2 projects of 100 MW each in Erzin district of Hatay and 500 MW to be divided as 10 projects of 50 MW each in Şanlıurfa's Viranşehir district.

Launched in July 2021, the total capacity offered under the tender round was 1 GW divided as 15 large scale projects with tariffs capped at TRY 0.40 per kWh (see Turkish Energy Ministry Announces 1 GW Solar Tender).

In September 2021, Turkey had also launched its YEKA GES-5 auction round for 1.5 GW solar capacity (see Turkey Launches 1.5 GW Solar Tender).
