The name says it all: “TaiyangNews – All About Solar” is a new news platform that covers everything solar. While we all feel still pretty young, most of our team have a long history in solar power and quite a bit of experience in publishing and writing.

Michael Schmela

Michael is a real sunnybloke, working in solar for 20 years, that’s basically his entire working life. Besides managing TaiyangNews, he runs MISCHCO, a company offering strategy consulting and communication services to solar companies.
As of Feb. 2015, Michael is the Executive Advisor to the CEO of SolarPower Europe, the European association of the solar power sector. As of Dec. 2015, he is also Executive Advisor to the Chairman of the Global Solar Council, which currently is chaired by SolarPower Europe and includes the world’s leading national and regional solar lobby associations. After co-founding Photon-Magazine in 1996, he served in various positions in the Photon group, among others as Editor-in-Chief of Photon International.
Michael studied Geology at Bonn University and RWTH Aachen, and Mineralogy at Frankfurt University.

Shravan Kumar Chunduri

Shravan caught the solar bug vey early in this career, starting 15 years ago in research, followed by solar manufacturing, then writing and consulting. At TaiyangNews his responsibility spans from writing technology articles and reports. He also works as a solar consultant for MISCHCO.
Until 2014, Shravan was a Technology Analyst at Photon International, where he worked for 7 years, covering everything from silicon to solar module technology. Before moving into writing, he was a Technology Officer at Indian Module maker PT Solar and Process Engineer in solar cell manufacturing at Microsol in Fujairah. Shravan first taste of the “solar mother milk” roots back to his time at the Research Center Juelich, Germany, where he worked as Research Associate.Shravan holds a B.Sc. from Wesley College in Hyderabad, India and a Master of Science in Renewable Energies from the University of Applied Sciences in Aachen, Germany.

Min Ge

Min’s main job at TaiyangNew is marketing & sales, but with his strong background in mathematics and computer science, he is managing our IT environment as well. Min also is Business Development Representative Asia for the European solar power sector’s lobby association SolarPower Europe.Prior, Min worked as Sales Manager at Photon Laboratory and Project Management Assistant at Photon Europe. Min studied Computer Science from Shanghai University in China as well as Mathematics and Economics in RWTH Aachen University, Germany.

Anu BhambhaniAnu is our solar news whirlwind. At TaiyangNews she covers everything that is of importance in the world of solar power.Before joining our team, Anu worked in various positions at publications of the Times Group in New Delhi. As a Principal Correspondent, she conceptualized special features and supplements for both The Times of India and The Economic Times. While Anu delved deep into solar at TaiyangNews, environment topics have been close to her heart before. As Assistant Editor, she was responsible for launching Planet Earth for The Economic Times, a special series on environment. Before joining the Times Group, Anu was a Copy Editor at the Hindustan Times.Anu holds a Masters degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Rajasthan. She also studied at the Centre for Science and Environment in New Delhi on E-Outreach: New Media Technologies for Advocacy and Strategic Communication, Social Media

Udayasree ChunduriUdaya has been instrumental in bringing our website online – and she makes sure it stays up and running. She also works as an Oracle – PeopleSoft IT Consultant.Prior, Udaya worked in different positions at Infosys, including software engineer and technology leader.Udaya holds a B.Sc in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science and a Master of Computer Application, both degrees from S V University, Tirupati in India.
