Austrian mounting structure maker AEROCOMPACT has launched its new roof hook and metal replacement tiles for the tiled roof solar mounting application. All the new products, which are an expansion of its COMPACTPITCH series, will be presented at the upcoming Intersolar Europe 2024.

The manufacturer says its latest COMPACTPITCH XT-R series roof hook, is suitable for rail-based mounting systems with framed PV modules, with its proven 3-stage AEROCOMPACT grid of the base plate. It enables uncomplicated adjustment to the height of the roof battens and ensures high stability. At first, the XT-R hook is attached to the pitched roof’s rafter, then the rail is snapped into place. After that, thanks to the integrated quick-release mechanism in the roof hook, fitters can simultaneously adjust the height of the hook to the roof batten and fix the hook. This simplified leveling process of the rail brings down installation time significantly, it adds.

Along with the optimization in installation time, its foldable design ensures one person can carry up to 20 roof hooks onto the roof, which drastically reduces the cost in terms of transport and storage. The XT–R series roof hook is compatible with rail-based mounting systems with framed PV modules of any dimension, albeit the range of frame height is 30 mm to 50 mm. The company is confident that its new XT-R series can work with its other variants of roof tiles including AEROCOMPACT’s metal replacement tiles.

For highly snowy regions, the company is offering its new addition of metal replacement tiles family – COMPACTPITCH XM-B. It cites 3rd party laboratory certification to claim the high resistance of the product to any water ingress due to the foam wedge seal system. It is also adaptable with all types of roof tiles common in Europe due to the adjustable metal apron.

AEROCOMPACT is going to exhibit its new products at the Munich Exhibition Center in Hall A6, stand number 560 between June 19 and 21, 2024.
