Anker SOLIX, a leading energy storage solution (ESS) provider, has expanded its Solar Bank series with its latest Solar Bank 2 Plus and Solar Bank 2 Pro models, clubbed under the Solar Bank 2 series to cater to the balcony power plant segment coupled with storage.

Solar Bank 2 Pro offers a maximum attainable output power of 2.4 kW and is powered by 4 parallelly connected solar panels and an in-built inverter with 4 MPPT channels, each with 600 W capacity. The company has drawn a self-consumption limit of 0.8 kW out of a total of 2.4 kW output power for the Anker SOLIX Solar Bank 2 Pro, while the excess power is channeled to charge the battery bank. According to the company statement, both the Plus and Pro models can store up to 9.6 kWh capacity of power with optional stackable batteries.

Along with high power generation capability, the Solar Bank 2 series offers long-term field durability with its lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology-based batteries. LFP batteries have a verified track record of 70% capacity retaining capability after 6,000 cycles, equivalent to 15 years of work-life. However, it’s important to note that Anker SOLIX offers a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty. The water and dust-resistant IP65 enclosure of the Solar Bank 2 series can withstand a wide external environmental temperature range of -22℃ to +55℃. An in-built inverter and optional stackable additional battery connection feature ensure hassle-free quick installation of Solar Bank 2 series models, says the company.

The new models are commercially available from May 22, 2024. At the launch of the new Solar Bank 2 series models, Anker SOLIX’s general manager and member CEO of Anker Innovation, Shaun Xiong quoted, “After the popular first generation of the solar bank, with the new model series, the Solar Bank 2, we are blurring the boundaries between a small balcony power plant and a complex-to-install PV system.”

Last month, Anker SOLIX expanded its residential backup energy storage portfolio with the SOLIX X1 model with advanced features relevant to the North American region. (see Anker SOLIX Expands Residential Backup Energy Storage Portfolio).
