Enstall has announced a majority stake in German solar mounting installer Schletter Group
This marks rooftop solar mounting specialist Enstall’s entry into the ground-mounted solar segment
Avenue Capital Group and Robus Capital Management will stay on in Schletter, as minority stakeholders
The Netherlands-based rooftop solar mounting energy specialist Enstall has entered the ground-mounted solar segment with a majority stake in the German solar mounting company Schletter Group. The transaction will establish Enstall as the ‘one-stop-shop global solar mounting powerhouse’, said the Dutch company.
Having supplied over 55 GW of solar installations globally, Schletter will continue to have its current shareholders Avenue Capital Group and Robus Capital Management albeit as minority stakeholders once the transaction closes in H2 2024.
They will work in close partnership with Enstall’s existing shareholders Blackstone and Rivean Capital who acquired the Dutch company in 2022.
Enstall said the Schletter acquisition will strengthen its footprint in Germany and Central Europe as the latter’s portfolio comprises mounting solutions for roofs, façades, carports, and ground-mounted solar installations, including trackers and fixed-tilt systems.
“With this transformational acquisition, Enstall establishes a strong presence in Germany, Europe’s largest solar market, and expands into the attractive ground-mounted solar segment,” said Senior Managing Director at Blackstone and Juergen Pinker, and Senior Partner at Rivean Capital, Maurits Boomsma. “Following Enstall’s acquisition of Sunfer in 2023, this deal demonstrates the continued strong momentum the company has in executing its growth strategy.”
Earlier this year in January 2024, Schletter appointed Eduardo Vidalon Aguilar as its new MD for Spanish market who previously worked with SMA (see Former SMA Senior Executive Joins Schletter Group).
