The principal operating subsidiary of solar cell and module producer from China, JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. has signed its largest distribution agreement for distributed generation outside China, for 2 GW worth of solar module supply to Brazil's Aldo Solar.

According to the agreement reached, Jinko Solar Co., Ltd. will ship close to 4 million Tiger Pro family of solar PV modules in 2022 to the Brazilian solar module distributor Aldo Solar which it claims to enjoy 31% market share in the South American nation.

In March 2021, the company launched its new series of 'ultra-efficient' Tiger Pro modules based on 182mm wafer size and 54-cell design with 415 W output, targeting it specifically for distributed generation market.

JinkoSolar's CEO Kangping Chen said it sees this deal with Aldo Solar as an 'exceptional growth opportunity' for the company in Brazil as the market continues to grow in the distributed generation segment.

"We expect to double the business volume for 2022, mainly in the distributed generation operation. To reach this goal, we will improve our local team by hiring new employees to offer the best services to our partner," said JinkoSolar's General Manager for Italy and Latin America, Alberto Cuter.

In May 2021, Aldo Solar roped in another Chinese company Phono Solar to supply 100 MW solar modules for the Brazilian market (see China PV News Snippets: Phono, China Power, Sungrow). The company said it aims to grow its business in 3 digits and achieve sales of BRL 6 billion in 2022 to which this agreement with Jinko Solar will be fundamental.

In November 2021, JinkoSolar launched its 620W ultra-efficiency N-type Tiger Neo modules, based on 182mm wafer size (see New N-Type Solar Module From JinkoSolar). The company's Senior Global Product Manager Leo Yu will discuss these new modules during the High Efficiency Solar Technologies Conference of TaiyangNews to be held between December 14 to 16, 2021.
