German solar installer company 1Komma5º says it will contract manufacturers to produce solar modules with 100% European or US supplied polysilicon, having 420W power output at the 'lowest end customer price point' in Germany, starting from Q2/2023.

Co-Founder and CPO of 1Komma5º and former Head of Product at sonnen, Jannik Schall said, "In combination with sourcing European raw materials, we are now able to have contract manufacturers around the world produce the best possible product according to our specifications, without having to compromise on social standards or sustainability. So we consistently use the purchasing power of our customers to push back exploitative and inhumane business models within our industry."

1Komma5º offers solar, storage and electric vehicle charging products from 3rd party suppliers and also provides installation services for the same. Even with its own panel coming up, it plans to continue offering the same to offer options to its customers, read a company statement.
