Part of Yingli Solar's 5.2 GW 'smart' module production facility online: Solar company Yingli Solar has started production of the first phase of its 5.2 GW Smart Photovoltaic Industrial Park project at Li County, according to a Hebei News report. The total investment of the project is RMB 1 billion ($0.16 billion) and will create 900 jobs. The first phase is about a 1.3 GW module line, that cost RMB 150 million ($23.60 million) and has been put into production in Jan. 2022. The second phase of 3.9 GW with an investment of RMB 850 million ($133.76 million) is scheduled to start production by May 2022. The project also includes a R&D facility and a module production facility.
1st phase of rooftop distributed project in Ninghua grid-connected: The grid connection ceremony of the first phase of the Ninghua County Rooftop Distributed Photovoltaic Development Pilot Project was successfully held, a government press release said. With an investment of RMB 1.5 billion ($0.24 billion) and a planned installed capacity of 236 MW, Huadian (Ninghua) New Energy Co., is responsible for the implementation of the project.
Zhonghuan Semiconductor funds increase G12 production capacity: Chinese solar wafer manufacturer Tianjin Zhonghuan Semiconductor (TZS) announced that its holding subsidiary Wuxi Zhonghuan Applied Materials Co., Ltd., has invested in the construction of the Yixing Phase IV smart factory project with an annual output of 30 GW high-purity solar ultra-thin silicon monocrystalline materials. For this purpose, the capital of a subsidiary will be increased. The new capacity addition will bring TZS' production capacity of G12 silicon wafers to over 105 GW.
