NTPC-SAIL Joint Venture Issues Tender For 20 MW Solar Power Project In Durgapur Steel Plant Vicinity

The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) is inviting bids to set up a 20 MW PV solar power project in the vicinity of Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP), West Bengal. It is seeking bids in the category of domestic competitive bidding of a reverse auction. However, solar cells and modules for the project may be procured from any source under open category from companies abroad.

The winning bidder will have to do the following jobs: design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation and commissioning on turnkey basis. Along with this, the task will also include operation and maintenance services for a period of five years.

The project is tendered by NTPC Limited and Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) joint venture, NTPC-SAIL Power Company Limited (NSPCL).

Bid documents for the tender can be bought until June 29, 2017, and the last date for bid submission is July 28, 2017.

NTPC has stated the terms of the tender on its tender website.

In April 2016, NSPCL had called for tenders to develop 50 MW PV project in Tamil Nadu. It was to be developed in the vicinity of Salem Steel Plant (see NTPC Issues Tender).
