The Tunisian Ministry of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies has tendered another 70 MW of solar PV capacity. There are two parts to this tender. In the first part, the total capacity will be 60 MW, with maximum proejct capacity of 10 MW each. The second part will have a total 10 MW, which will be have projects with a maximum size of 1 MW.
Clean power generated by these projects will be sold to the Tunisian Company of Electricity and Gas (STEG). Interested bidders will need to submit their proposals by August 15, 2018 to the ministry.
This 70 MW capacity tender is the second round of the Tunisian authorization regime. In round one, the government awarded 64 MW out of 70 MW tendered.
