Renewable investments and development company Aukera BV, announced that it has inked a development joint venture deal with solar developer securenergy AG from Germany.
With this, Aukera is all set to acquire from securenergy solutions an initial 1,000 MW of solar PV portfolio of projects under development across Germany. While Aukera intends to build, own and operate the projects, the responsibility of development will rest with securenergy.
Co-Founder at Aukera Pascal Emsens said, "The agreement with securenergy for 1,000 MW Solar PV projects marks another step in our commitment to contribute to the energy security in Europe via sustainable renewable energy. It also highlights the importance of the German renewable market for our growth strategy. We aim to expand our presence and pipeline in Germany".
Meanwhile, Co-Founder of securenergy solutions AG Karsten Becker said, "We are delighted to have completed this successful transaction with Aukera, who is an experienced partner in the field. It marks a key milestone to consolidate our position in the German market. We aim to contribute, by means of this investment, to the economic growth and social development of the local communities where the projects are located".
Aukera has been eyeing to expand in Germany and, with further acquisitions, consolidate its position in the renewable energy sector, across solar PV, onshore wind, and storage. It was just in 2021 that Aukera had launched itself in the European renewable energy market (see New Europe Focused Renewables Company)
