Chint Aneng signs 1.6 GW distributed rooftop PV agreements: Chint Aneng, a holding subsidiary of smart energy solutions provider Chint Group, has signed agreements with 60 township governments falling under 30 counties to promote the pilot development of distributed rooftop PV. The total installed capacity of this project is 1.6 GW and will include cities like Hengshui, Handan, Baoding, and Cangzhou, among others.

Shuangliang to buy 82,200 tons of polysilicon from Xinte: Solar PV inverter company from China TBEA announced that its subsidiary Xinte Energy has signed a Polysilicon Strategic Cooperation Purchase Agreement with Shuangliang Silicon Materials (Baotou), a subsidiary of Shuangliang Eco-Energy. As per the agreement, Shuangliang Silicon Materials will buy 82,200 tons of polysilicon from Xinte Energy from January 2022 to December 2026 for an agreed amount of RMB 15.45 billion ($2.39 billion). In March, Xinte Energy had secured a long term contract to sell 152,400 MT polysilicon to Qinghai Gaojing Solar Energy Technology for RMB 16.916 billion ($2.6 billion) (see Xinte Energy Secures 152,400 Tons Polysilicon Supply Deal)

Luoyang Glass to acquire stake in Fujian PV Glass: Float glass manufacturer Luoyang Glass said that it has reached a preliminary consensus on its proposed acquisition of a stake in Taiwan Glass China Holdings Ltd. This is the beginning of the preliminary negotiations between both the parties. The conclusion of this equity transaction will require both of them to complete the relevant decision-making procedures and sign the agreement. This move is expected to prove beneficial to Luoyang Glass to further improve its overall photovoltaic glass business and enhance the market coverage of its products.

Shuangliang & Jiangsu enter RMB 11.2 bn silicon material purchase deal: Wholly-owned subsidiary of Shuangliang Eco-Energy, Shuangliang Silicon Materials (Baotou) will purchase 52,750 tons of polysilicon from Jiangsu Zhongneng Silicon, which is one of the enterprises of GCL Group. The purchase agreement is worth RMB 11.2 billion ($1.73 billion) and the purchase period will be from September 2021 to December 2026, Shuangliang Eco-Energy stated in an announcement.
