Longyuan to develop 900 MW PV plus storage project in Linqu; Golden Glass production lines progress; Guangzhou to build 400 MW PV projects; Daqo to sell 30,000 tons of solar-grade polysilicon materials; Baofeng to develop a chain of PV projects.

Longyuan Power & Linqu ink 1.13 GW PV and storage deal: New technologies developer Longyuan Power and the Linqu County have signed an agreement for a 1.13 GW photovoltaic storage project. With the agreement in place, Longyuan Power will be involved in the development of photovoltaic materials, photovoltaic projects, hydrogen energy, and energy storage projects. Among them, distributed photovoltaics will be about 400 MW, ground-based centralized photovoltaics will be 500 MW, and supporting and shared energy storage will be about 230 MW.

Golden Glass on status of production lines: Golden Glass, a Chinese Supplier of high-end special building glass, released an announcement on the progress of its production lines. The company said that its heterojunction PV module facility has started production. This line produces large-scale half-cell high-efficiency cell based modules. Apart from this, its heterojunction photovoltaic cell project has been fully installed and is in the phase of commissioning. The project is expected to be completed by March 2022.  In December 2022, Golden Glass subsidiaries reached out to Zhonghuan to purchase RMB 667 million silicon wafers (see China PV News Snippets)

Guangzhou & Xiushan sign 400 MW PV deal: Guangzhou Development announced that it has signed an investment agreement for photovoltaic power generation projects with the People's Government of Xiushan Tujia and Miao Autonomous County, Chongqing. The company plans to combine agriculture (or forestry, animal husbandry) to build photovoltaic projects in the selected development area, with an installed capacity of 400 MW and a total investment of about RMB 1.5 billion ($0.24 billion). In January, a subsidiary of Guangzhou Development had revealed plans to invest in a 350 MW agricultural PV power generation project (see China PV News Snippets)

Daqo New Energy signs 30,000 tons polysilicon order: Chinese polysilicon maker Daqo New Energy has signed a polysilicon sales contract. As per the contract, from 2022 to 2026, an un-identified company is expected to purchase 30,000 tons of solar-grade polysilicon super-clean monocrystalline materials from Daqo New Energy. The company will likely purchase an average of 500 tons per month, according to Daqo. The total sales amount is expected to be approximately RMB 7.26 billion ($1.15 billion) (tax included).

Baofeng invests in PV chain projects: Jiuquan City and Ningxia Baofeng Energy Group have signed a polysilicon project agreement involving several PV projects, according to local media reports. Gansu Baofeng polysilicon project has an overall plan to develop 350,000 tons/year of industrial silicon, 300,000 tons/year of polysilicon, 50 GW of crystal pullers and wafering capacity, 30 GW of cell module production facilities, and 15 GW of photovoltaic power generation and wind power plants. In the first phase, about 0.50 GW photovoltaic power generation is being planned.
