Shangji & Aiko Sign Silicon Wafers Deal & More From Daqo, Autowell, Yuze Semiconductor

Shangji and Aiko sign RMB 3.5 billion sales deal; Daqo predicts strong Q1 2022; Autowell wins RMB 90 million bid; Yuze (Jiangxi) Semiconductor invests in 30 GW monocrystal rods and 30 GW slicing project.

Shangji Automation and Aiko Solar sign silicon wafers deal: PV production equipment maker and mono-wafer company Shangji Automation announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Hongyuan New Materials has signed a sales contract with Zhejiang Aiko Solar, Tianjin Aiko Solar, and Guangdong Aiko Solar for monocrystalline silicon wafers. As per the contract, about 552 million new monocrystalline silicon wafers will be sold from 2022 to 2024 (with a fluctuation of no more than 20%). With reference to PVInfoLink's latest average price, it is estimated that the sales amount from 2022 to 2024 will be RMB 3.5 billion (including tax).

Daqo Energy predicts sales for Q1 2022: Daqo Energy made an indicative announcement about its sales forecast for the first quarter of 2022. The Chinese polysilicon producer expects to sell 37,000-38,000 tons of polysilicon during this period, and achieve a polysilicon sales of 21,471 tons, a year-on-year increase of 72.3%-76.9%. Autowell wins JA Solar bid for cutting and welding machine: In an announcement, automation equipment manufacturer said that it has won the bid for equipment project of JA Solar (Yangzhou) New Energy, and JA Solar (Yangzhou) Solar Technology. The equipment includes high-speed cutting and welding machine and laser cutting machine. The project is for RMB 90 million ($14.15 million).

Yuze Semiconductor invests in Yunnan: As per a recently signed agreement, Yuze (Jiangxi) Semiconductor will be investing in the construction of a project, which will have an annual output of 30 GW monocrystal rods, and a 30 GW slicing project in Wenshan Prefecture.
