LONGi supplies over 7 GW of solar panels to India: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi Solar announced that it has achieved a significant milestone in India by shipping over 7 GW of high-efficiency solar panels, the highest in mono-crystalline category. In India, the company has been present for over five years.
Aiko Solar to raise RMB 1.65 billion for 6.5 GW solar cell manufacturing project in China: Chinese solar cell producer Aiko Solar said that it plans to raise RMB 1.65 billion ($0.25 billion) to invest in the construction of new-generation, high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar cells project with an annual output of 6.5 GW in Zhuhai after deducting the issuance costs. The total investment of this project is RMB 5.4 billion ($0.81 billion). About RMB 1.2 billion ($0.18 billion) of the raised funds is planned to be invested; and RMB 450 million ($67.14 million) of working capital to be supplemented. Risen & Shuangliang Eco-Energy sign RMB 14.2 billion silicon wafer order: Chinese solar panel maker Risen Energy announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Risen Anhui has signed a monocrystalline silicon wafer purchase agreement with Shuangliang Silicon Material. The company expects that from May 2022 to 2024, Risen Anhui will purchase a total of 1.57 billion silicon wafers from Shuangliang Silicon Materials (the size of silicon wafers can be adjusted according to demand, but the overall purchase quantity will remain unchanged). The estimated value of the agreement is about RMB 14.2 billion ($2.12 billion) in three years.
Construction begins for 6 GW Yanchi new energy industrial park: The construction of the 6 GW new energy equipment manufacturing industrial park and supporting projects of Zhejiang Chint Group Corporation in Yanchi County has begun. It is understood that the 6 GW new energy equipment manufacturing industrial park and 5 GW photovoltaic power generation project with an investment of RMB 29.3 billion ($4.37 billion) is the second new energy project constructed by Chint Group in Ningxia.
CSG Group panel manufacturing base launched: Solar PV manufacturer CSG Group announced that its subsidiary, Anhui CSG New Energy Materials Technology's light-weight high-transparency panel manufacturing base project for solar equipment has been officially launched. The total investment of the project is about RMB 4 billion ($0.60 billion).
