GoodWe releases its DNS G3 PV inverter; DNV certifies Canadian Solar's modules as highly reliable; Jangho to build 300 MW PV building-integrated flexible production base; JA Solar's PV R&D and production base project settled in Yiwu; Trina Solar establishes crystalline silicon company.

GoodWe DNS G3 PV inverter released worldwide: Solar inverter manufacturer GoodWe recently released its DNS G3 PV Inverter is officially released globally. Some of its features are:

  • The new DNS G3 has upgraded the current of each string from the original 13A to 16A, which is highly suitable for large modules and can give full play to the advantages of large modules
  • The new product supports 1.5 times DC overload, 1.1 times AC overload, higher capacity ratio, and is suitable for various high temperature environments.
  • The startup voltage of DNS G3 only needs 50V, which is the lowest among inverters in the same power segment. A lower startup voltage can allow the inverter to work in advance and connect to the grid for power generation.

Canadian Solar's high-power modules certified by DNV: Canada headquartered Chinese solar power company Canadian Solar Inc. said that it has recently received a review report from DNV, where DNV has concluded that the company's 210-mm cell based HiKu7 and BiHiKu7 modules, with power output up to 670W, are highly reliable, of top quality and with 3% lower LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy). DNV has carried out a comprehensive review of the HiKu7 and BiHiKu7 modules, assessing them on the production process, performance, reliability, and the LCOE analysis. Recently Canadian Solar and Matrix Renewables had entered into a transaction (see China PV News Snippets)

Jangho to invest RMB 500 million to build 300 MW production base: Architectural curtain wall, interior decoration and design company Jangho Group announced that it plans to invest in the construction of a 300 MW photovoltaic building-integrated flexible production base for special-shaped photovoltaic modules in Xishui County. The total planned investment of the project is RMB 500 million ($73.65 million). Jangho Group said that photovoltaic buildings will be the main direction of the company's strategic transformation. In the first quarter of 2022, the company has won the bid for 3 photovoltaic construction projects with a total contract cost of approximately RMB 613 million ($90.29 million).

JA Solar's PV R&D and production base project settled in Yiwu: Solar PV Panel Manufacturer JA Solar's photovoltaic auxiliary materials R&D and production base project has been settled in Yiwu, Zhejiang, the company said in an announcement. The total land area of the project is 100 mu, with an investment of RMB 700 million ($103.11 million), mainly to build a research and development and production base for photovoltaic auxiliary materials. Recently JA Solar's 3.5 GW cell project in Vietnam was put into operation (see China PV News Snippets)

Trina Solar establishes crystalline silicon company: Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar (Qinghai) Crystalline Silicon Co., Ltd. has been established with a registered capital of RMB 400 million ($58.92 million), a media report stated. The company's business scope would include photovoltaic equipment and components manufacturing and sales, solar thermal utilization product and equipment sales, and semiconductor device special equipment sales. Recently Trina Solar had declared that it has shipped 24.8 GW solar modules in 2021 (see Trina Solar Declares 2021 Financial Results)
