World leading module producers at TaiyangNews Intersolar Review Conference: On May 24-25, 2022 TaiyangNews will be hosting Intersolar Munich Review Virtual Conference, where the leading Tier 1 module manufacturers will present their latest technology developments. On Day 1, the focus will be on utility-scale solar, while the second day's focus will be on rooftop solutions. Intersolar Europe (the Smarter E) in Munich last week attracted over 65,000 visitors from 149 countries and had over 1,350 exhibitors, providing exciting technology updates, primarily on solar and storage. JA Solar to invests RMB 10.3 billion in integrated production: In an announcement,  Chinese integrated solar PV panel manufacturer JA Solar said that it plans to invest in the construction of a 10 GW high-efficiency cell and 5 GW module projects in Qujing; and 11 GW high-power module reconstruction and expansion projects in Hefei. In line with the company's strategic needs, the total investment of these projects is about RMB 10.29 billion ($1.54 billion), and the funds have been self-raised by the company. Zhonghuan Semiconductor announces new silicon wafers prices: Chinese solar wafer manufacturer Zhonghuan Semiconductor (TZS) announced prices for its N-type monocrystalline silicon wafers, which now cost:

  • The price of 210N-type silicon wafers with a thickness of 150μm is RMB 9.49/piece ($1.42/piece)
  • The price of 210N-type silicon wafers with a thickness of 130μm is RMB 9.06/piece ($1.36/piece)

TZS had increased its wafer prices both in March and April (see China PV News Snippets).

Sungrow signs 600 MW deal with PVO International: Solar PV inverter supplier Sungrow said that it has signed a 600 MW strategic distribution agreement with Dutch partner PVO International for PV inverter and battery system solutions. The € 50 million deal states that PVO will distribute Sungrow's inverters and battery systems solutions in Europe this year. This deal will further facilitate the economic decarbonization in more European markets.

Kibing's RMB 3 billion project begins: Solar glass manufacturer Kibing Group has begun its project that has an annual output of 700,000 tons of PV high-transparency glass materials and supporting deep-processing production lines, the company said. Located at Nanyang Port, the total investment of this project is about RMB 3 billion ($0.45 billion). Recently, Kibing had RMB 5.1 billion in PV glass production lines (see China PV News Snippets),
