TUV conducts field performance test of Trina Solar's 210 Vertex ultra-high power monofacial and bifacial modules; Suzhou Boamax Technologies to build 2 GW PV modules and 2 GW PV cells fab;  China Huadian begins Laizhou Tushan Phase I 600 MW PV project.

Trina's Vertex 600W+ modules perform well in Germany field test: Since 2021, TÜV Rheinland, which is a leading testing service provider, has been conducting a 12-month field performance test of Trina Solar's 210 Vertex ultra-high power monofacial and bifacial modules. The first of the series global field tests was conducted in Cologne, Germany (temperate zone), with its four distinct seasons, characterized by low irradiation. The results show that the energy yield of the Vertex 600W+ modules is at least 2% higher than reference modules. Other sites where the tests are being conducted include Thuwal, Saudi Arabia (tropical desert) and Hainan province, China (maritime). At the recent TaiyangNews Virtual Conference on Intersolar Munich Review conducted last month, Chinese solar company Trina Solar presented its ultra-high performance module series for all rooftops under the Vertex series which it displayed at Intersolar (see Adele Zhao, Trina Solar: The Ultra-High Performance Module Series for All Rooftops)

Suzhou Boamax to build modules and cells projects in Bengbu: CNC sheet metal technology company, Suzhou Boamax Technologies, announced that it plans to build a new energy manufacturing project in Bengbu City. The project will include research and development, production and manufacturing of 2 GW photovoltaic cells, 2 GW photovoltaic modules, and new energy high-end equipment related products. Recently, Suzhou Boamax had talked about signing an investment deal for cell/module production with Huaiyuan (see China PV News Snippets)
