Sineng’s India Inverter Shipments Exceed 6 GW & More From Tongwei, Huasun, Xinhua Hydropower, Ancai, Zhengbang

Sineng celebrates 6 GW milestone; Tongwei's Qinghai Gaojing contract; Huasun & EcoSolifer partner; Xinhua Hydropower's 2 GW solar project; Ancai PV glass deal with JA Solar; 10 GW RE plans of Zhengbang Technology.

Sineng's India shipments cross 6 GW: Chinese inverter maker Sineng Electric says its cumulative inverter shipments to the India market has crossed the 6 GW milestone. During the 5th anniversary celebration of Sineng India on June 16, 2022, the Head of Sales South India, Jigar Soni said the company's annual manufacturing capacity in its Bengaluru fab has been expanded to 10 GW and caters to demand from not only India, but also the Middle East Africa (MEA) and the US markets.

New polysilicon contract for Tongwei: A Tongwei subsidiary has secured a contract with Qinghai Gaojing Solar to supply it 216,100 tons of polysilicon between 2022 and 2026. Worth more than RMB 50.9 billion as per their estimate, the deal provides Tongwei with business certainty aligned with its future business plan, it stated.

Huasun & EcoSolifer partner: China's Huasun has announced a strategic contract with EcoSolifer Group with Switzerland-Hungarian roots to enhance heterojunction (HJT) market share for both. They have identified opportunities to synergize their efforts to support capacity expansion, technological improvements and emissions reduction measures. Huasun plans to scale up its HJT production capacity from 2.7 GW to 6 GW by 2023. EcoSolifer has an installed HJT cell production capacity of 100 MW in Hungary. "With the future oriented HJT technology HUASUN and EcoSolifer ideally support each other to supply highest quality and efficiency solar components at competitive rates in the extremely emerging solar market, enabling customers to establish a low carbon and sustainable business segment," the duo stated.

Construction begins for 2 GW PV power complex: Xinhua Hydropower Tianjin has started constructing its 2 GW solar PV complex in Zhongwang Town of Jinghai in Tianjin province. Spread across 27,000 mu (traditional land measurement unit in China) area, the 2 GW project will support 10% or 200 MW/200 MWh of chemical energy storage and cost a total investment of about RMB 9.6 billion. The company expects the project to generate close to 2.6 billion kWh when it is fully ramped up post completion.

JA Solar's PV glass deal: Ancai Hi-tech has entered into a strategic agreement with JA Solar to supply the latter with around 89.1 million sq. mtr. PV glass between June 2022 and May 2025. The deal relates to 3.2 mm single glass whose average price is around RMB 28.5 per sq. mtr. JA Solar will purchase the ordered volume for approximately RMB 2.54 billion.

Zhengbang Technology's 10 GW RE plan: One of the leading pig-raising biggies in China, Jiangxi Zhengbang Technology has signed an agreement with State Power Investment Group for a Carbon Neutral Comprehensive Smart Energy Project Cooperation Agreement. Under this, the duo plan to build 10 GW worth of solar PV, wind, distributed and centralized integrated smart energy capacity within 3 years. They expect the total investment to reach about RMB 40 billion.
