Trina Solar’s Module Shipment Crosses 8 GW Mark In India & More From Shuangliang Eco-Energy, Hunan Red Sun

Trina Solar has shipped 8 GW modules to India; Shuangliang Eco-Energy and Chint Solar subsidiaries partner for RMB 9 billion sales deal; Hunan Red Sun ships first PVD and ALD coating equipment for perovskite cells.

Trina Solar's module shipment crosses 8 GW mark in India: Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar announced that since 2010, it has shipped over 8 GW solar modules. The modules have been catering to PV projects in all three segments –  residential, commercial and industrial (C&I), and utility. Director of Trina Solar India Gaurav Mathur said that the solar modules for C&I accounted for 60% of Trina Solar's shipments to India last year and in 2022's first quarter, about 40% of shipments were for utility-scale projects. Shuangliang Eco-Energy & Chint ink wafer sales deal: China headquartered solar PV production equipment maker Shuangliang Eco-Energy said that its wholly-owned subsidiary Shuangliang Silicon Materials (Baotou) has got into an agreement with subsidiaries of Chint Solar, which includes Chint New Energy Technology, Hangzhou Zhengtai Import and Export Trade, Yancheng Chint New Energy Technology, Yancheng Chint Solar Technology and Haining Chint Solar Technology. The deal states that during the period from 2022 to 2024, Chint subsidiaries expect to purchase a total of 950 million monocrystalline silicon wafers (including 182mm/210mm specifications) from Shuangliang Silicon Materials. The total sales amount in 2022-2024 is expected to be about RMB 9 billion ($1.33 billion) (tax included).

Hunan Red Sun ships first PVD and ALD coating equipment for perovskite cells: Hunan Red Sun through WeChat said that it has sent its first PVD and ALD coating equipment for perovskite to a certain line of photovoltaic enterprises. Following the successful delivery of the heterojunction core coating equipment, this comes as a new milestone for the company in the perovskite field.
