Huayao PV and Hohhot Committee partner for 10 GW PV cell capacity; Jolywood releases TOPCon cell prices; Huitian New Materials to build solar cell back film project
Huayao PV inks 10 GW PV cell production deal: Hohhot Economic and Technological Development Committee said on its website that it has inked a deal with solar photovoltaic R&D company Huayao PV for a 10 GW solar N-type cell production project. The investment is about RMB 6 billion ($0.89 billion), and the project will be completed in 2 phases. The first phase will build about 2 GW and will commence in the first half of 2023 and end by 2024. The second phase will build 8 GW and will start by 2024 and end by 2026. On completion, the project is expected to generate an annual sales revenue of about RMB 12 billion ($1.78 billion).
TOPCon cell prices from Jolywood for the first time: Bifacial solar cell and module manufacturer Jolywood for the first time announced its cell prices publicly. The company quoted RMB 1.40 RMB/W ($0.21/W) for a N-type 182 bifacial TOPCon cell; and RMB 1.41 /W ($0.21/W) for a N-type 210 bifacial TOPCon cell. Last month, Jolywood Group, which is also a global leader in encapsulation materials, said that it will be undertaking a project to strongly expand its annual production capacity of backsheets (see Jolywood To More Than Double Backsheet Production)
Huitian New Materials subsidiary to build solar backsheet project: Huitian New Materials, a high-tech enterprise group specializing in the R&D and production of adhesives and new materials, said in an announcement that its holding subsidiary Changzhou Huitian plans to raise about RMB 30 million. The funds will be used to build a solar backsheet project with an annual output of 36 million m2. Once the project is completed and put into operation, there will be a 45% increase in Changzhou Huitian's solar back film production capacity.
