JA Solar Among Top Global New Energy Enterprises & More From Suzhou Maxwell, Drinda, Hefei Dipin, Beijing Energy

JA Solar ranked in Top 500 Global New Energy Enterprises list; Huasun to buy 12 HJT production lines from Suzhou Maxwell; Production capacity of Drinda Anhui facility raised;  Hefei Dipin to build perovskite solar cell factory; Beijing Energy International revenue at RMB 1.9 billion in H1 2022.

JA Solar continues to be among top global new energy enterprises: Solar PV panel manufacturer JA Solar said it has once again featured in the Top 500 Global New Energy Enterprises list that was recently released. This time, it ranks at the 25th place, which is 11 places up since last year. The list is jointly released by China Energy News and China Energy Economic Research Institute, and ranks companies basis the core indicators such as operating income, profitability, R&D and innovation. Suzhou Maxwell & Huasun Energy sign production line deal: Solar cell production equipment maker Suzhou Maxwell Technologies announced that it has signed equipment procurement contracts with Chinese solar panel manufacturer Huasun Energy. The contract states that Huasun will purchase 12 high-efficiency silicon heterojunction solar cell production lines from Suzhou Maxwell, amounting to 7.2 GW. While the purchase amount is not specified, it exceeds 50% of the company's audited operating income in 2021. Recently, Maxwell had announced ISFH certification for a HJT solar cell with 26.41% efficiency (see Impressive 26.41% HJT Solar Cell Efficiency)

Drinda's Anhui facility's production capacity rises: Automotive instrument panel assemblies producer Drinda said that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Jietai Technology, and Anhui Laian Chahe Economic Committee have come together to increase the production capacity of its high-efficiency solar cell facility. With this agreement, the production capacity of its 16 GW facility will now slightly rise to 18 GW and the investment will rise from RMB 11.2 billion ($1.6 billion) to about RMB 12.6 billion ($1.8 billion). The 16 GW facility of Drinda is being constructed in 2 phases of 8 GW each. The first phase is in progress and recently the company had increased Jietai Technology's capital to speed up the construction (see China PV News Snippets). Now with this increase in capacity, the second phase of the project will be of 10 GW, with an investment of about RMB 7 billion ($1 billion).

Hefei Dipin to build perovskite solar cell factory: The Development and Reform Commission of Changfeng County released the Enterprise Investment Projects for August 2022. The list includes a perovskite thin-film solar cell factory of Hefei Dipin Digital Technology, a material manufacturing company. The factory will be located in Gangji and spread across 58 acres. With an investment of RMB 120.5 million ($17.3 million), the factory will have a production capacity of 400,000 m2 annually.

Beijing Energy International releases H1/2022 report: Beijing Energy International announced its 2022 semi-annual results in Beijing. As per the report, Beijing Energy achieved a total revenue of RMB 1.9 billion ($0.27 billion) in H1, up 51.5% year on year, with a total profit of RMB 286 million ($41.2 million), up 86.9% year on year. The company's total grid-connected installed capacity was about 4583.39 MW, up 62% year on year. Meanwhile, the total power generation increased to 3.322 billion kWh, up 90.4% year on year. As of June 30, the total installed capacity of Beijing Energy International had exceeded 16 GW.
